Adrian trained at The Birmingham Theatre School. He is most widely know for his role as Steapa in the BBC/Netflix TV show, The Last Kingdom. He played Porto, The Commander of the Praetorian Guard in Roland Emmerich’s epic Roman action/drama series for Amazon Prime, Those About to Die. Other TV and film roles include Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, The Wheel of Time, Strike Back, The Monuments Men, The Veteran, Bannockburn 1314: Battle of Kings, Red Dwarf, Coronation Street and many other independent productions.

As well as being recognized as the breakout star of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Jan Žižka, he played the Commander of the Kingsglaive, Captain Drautos, in Final Fantasy XV:Kingsglaive and other supporting roles in Final Fantasy XVI.
