Joseph is an award winning Mexican born actor with dual US and Mexican heritage, however, he has lived and worked in the UK since the age of 10. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and has worked across Film, Television, Animation, Games, Radio and Voice Over ever since.
He has just completed filming on F1 the Brad Pitt Formula One blockbuster due for release June 2025. His other recent film roles include Lead Detective in The Batman (directed by Matt Reeves), Carlos in Uncharted (directed by Ruben Fleicher), James Horne in Stan & Ollie (directed by Jon S. Baird) and Horace Kaden in The Current War (directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon). His Animated Film work includes voicing The Mummy in the Tad and the Lost Explorer Franchise for which he is currently working on the 4th film in the series and Chauncy in Under The Boardwalk (Paramount Pictures).
Joseph has appeared in over 40 Television series over the years he currently plays Julio Spring in popular Netflix series Heartstopper across all three series so far. He’s also recently finished filming Series 2 of Silo for Apple TV and Series 2 of Man vs Bee for Netflix. Other recent appearances include Javier Oreja in the finale of the Jack Ryan series for Amazon and Lou Farrino in Hotel Portofino Series 2 for U and PBS. His TV animation work includes The Makery (Sky/Peacock), The Creature Cases (Netflix), Tricks and Russell Pizza in Big Tree City (Netflix), Diamondo and Mr Putt-Putt in Best & Bester (Nickelodeon) and he is currently working on a new show called Messi & The Giants for Sony.
Joseph has also enjoyed a wonderful and award winning career voicing and motion capturing hundreds of characters in Games appearing in over 40 titles spanning 16 years. He is best known for the Multiple Award winning It Takes Two (GOTY & BAFTA) in which he voiced and motion captured the player character of Cody and also voiced the eponymous Dr Hakim Book of Love. He has also recently worked on other award winning games such as Diablo IV voicing the player character Sorcerer and in Lies of P he voiced the character of Arlecchino. His early game roles include Rampto in Haze (Ubisoft), Stavo Delgado in Wheelman (Midway/Ubisoft), Killer Moth in Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, and Kai in The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game (TT Fusion/Warner Bros.), Sangres in Payday 2 (Overkill/Verité), Cotter in Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series (Telltale), Don Rodrigo in Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (Square-Enix), Brody and Sawyer in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint (Ubisoft), more recently voicing Santiago ‘Dozer’ Espinosa in Battlefield 2042 (DICE), Patriatte in Triangle Strategy (Square-Enix), Jeff Sullivan in Sniper Elite 5 (Rebellion), Deputy Sanchez and others in As Dusk Falls (Interior Night/XBox) Señor Cat in Peppa Pig: World Adventures, Prosarmogi and Luis Perez-Brown in Meet Your Maker (Behaviour Interactive), Sargent Rico Martinez in Aliens: Dark Decent (Tindalos Interactive) and Fidel, Spike and The Major in Jagged Alliance 3 (Haemimont) amongst many others.
Joseph’s Radio Drama and audiobook credits are also extensive since having been selected to participate in the Carlton Hobbs Radio Drama Award at LAMDA. He’s played President George W Bush amongst many other roles and most recently was heard as the official voice (in English) of His Holiness The Pope on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme.
